Kid Cudi’s new project WZRD with Dot Da Genius
This dude is a local rapper on okinawa, who goes by the name of mell-man, yes this guy is in the military and yes he is serious about being a musician. The beatsounds like a choir of kids trapped inside a well with no way out. Seriously, I feel like I justwatched that video on the ring and now I have 7 days to live before I die.
‘Til then I call
The sky might fall
The sky might fall
But I’m not worried at all
Stacks on deck
patron on ice
And we can pop bottles all night
Baby you can have whatever you like (you like)
I am a rocker at heart through and through, but if the future of rap is anything like what I have been hearing lately with guys like Kid Cudi, XV, J Cole, Big Sean, & B.O.B I might have to rethink my taste in music. I just got a hold of XV’s mixtape and the guy has some serious lines that I just can’t shake off. The way his music makes me feel can easily be compared to Kid Cudi(Of course Cudder is still the mang). Shoot! Anyone listening to his music can’t help, but nod their heads in agreement that the beat is smooth. Most of all his lyrics provide the perfect personality to an otherwise already awesome mixtape. WTF! Why isn’t this guy mainstream yet?
Look, my life is unbelievable, even though, sometimes I wanna leave and go
And find a job, I’m so odd, still I got an even flow
Quiet kid, keep it low, mouth is closed wanna scream his soul
The end is never the end. A new challenge awaits. A test no man could be prepared for. A new hell he must conquer and destroy. A new level of growth he must confront himself. The machine in the ghost within. This is the journey of the man on the moon.
I’ve got some issues that nobody can see
and all of these emotions are pourin’ outta me
I bring them to the light for you
it’s only right
this is the soundtrack to my life
If you never had a day a snow cone couldn’t fix, you wouldn’t relate to the rogue vocoder blitz, how he spoke thru a no-doz motor on the fritz, cuz he wouldn’t play roll over fetch like a bitch, and express no regrets
